Sketches from a short trip to Elk Island National Park on Thanksgiving Day; another beautiful autumn day with some golden yellow still remaining. I have only visited in the winter when Astotin Lake, shown here, was solid ice, so it was a wonderful opportunity to experience the landscape (and a few herds of bison) in a completely different light. We are so fortunate to have this park so close by.
